Welcome to Dr. Gezahgn Wordofa’s Website! Here you will find information on not only Dr. Gezahgn Wordofa, but his works as the General Director of OPORA – an organization that is set up by refugees and to assist other refugees living in Moscow, and the Russian Federation.
Adjusting to living in Russia can be difficult for many, but even more so as a refugee or asylum seeker. Through OPORA, Dr. Gezahgn Wordofa organizes many food sharing programs, clothing donations, holiday events for the children and their families, and programs to help refugees adjust to living in Russia – just to name a few.
Not only does OPORA help with refugees and their families, but they also help children who are from orphanages or are living in the streets. OPORA recognizes that all children are our future and it is important to help them in any way possible.
Dr. Gezahgn Wordofa relies on the kindness of volunteers to help, and so if you are interested in assisting in this very worthy cause, please check out the ‘How to Help’ page for things you can do including items that refugees are looking for. And if you can give of your time, volunteers are always needed to participate in distributing goods that have been donated.
